The Presidency

This journal will guide you through learning a little about each of the 45 American presidents — the people who have held the office. Cleveland and Trump each served two non-consecutive terms, so their pages have two number lines.

The office of President of the United States is the highest position a person can hold in the U.S. Government. Some presidents are better known than others, and some are also better than others, though we may disagree on which ones, or why.

Each president has contributed to how the United States is managed today. Look up the facts, then decide — with evidence — whether the changes helped or hurt.
